As most of the world, our team was deeply shocked and saddened by the horrifying events that occurred on Friday evening, November 13, 2015. Everyone here at Alceis Global Nomads would like to express our deepest condolences to all the families and friends of the victims of these senseless attacks. Our thoughts are with all those affected, and with the Parisian community as a whole.
The many messages, the calls, the emails, from family, friends or colleagues alike, were all profoundly comforting and heartwarming. Answering these messages, reassuring the very many who had thought about us, was extremely helpful, whether it was to express our grief, our shock, our loss, or our relief, that no one we knew had been at the wrong place, at the wrong time. The overwhelming support from all around the globe touched, not only us but, undoubtedly, all Parisians that week.
Our office is located not far from one of the places where the attacks took place. We all know the restaurants, we walked passed them often, and sat down for lunch there sometimes.
The holiday celebrations this year will have a bitter taste to them. This bitterness will not prevent us from wishing you, and perhaps with more depth and meaning than in previous years, a Merry Christmas and a joyous New Year 2016: peace, health, and love.
