Ready for living in Shanghai?

12,000 French expats are enrolled at the French Consulate in Shanghai, but the number is certainly higher, estimated from 15,000 to 20,000. According to Sylvia, relocation expert, families with children choose a residence keeping in mind the location of the Lycée Français (French School). No-kids families would prefer the center, more precisely a popular touristic destination: the French Concession. Rents are constantly increasing and expatriates have to compromise, choosing a smaller apartment. The way of life is nice, transportations are relatively easier, even if the metro is packed at rush hours, and traffic jams are constant. You can walk when you go to the restaurant or do your shopping, and cultural life (concerts, museums) are easily accessible.
